Alex Kamm - 2017 program:  I would recommend studying abroad to anyone willing to listen. Not only did I learn about different cultures, but I got to experience them hands on, and do things that I may not have done if I was just on a family vacation. The food was spectacular as well; the amount of gelato I ate was probably record breaking. Not only do I miss being on the trip, but my wanderlust has reached severe levels. All I ever want to do is travel, go on road trips, try something new, push myself to the limit. I loved it.

Juliana Plescia - 2017 program: "Towards the end I found myself missing going to the gym and looking forward to using my washing machine. A few weeks later as I look through the pictures on my phone I wish nothing more than to go back. I miss the friends I made and the adventures I had every day. Many people graduate college and say that their biggest regret was not studying abroad; I feel fortunate that I won’t have this regret."

Evan Scott Meyers - FIN 16: "The trip most definitely changed something in me. I feel as if I was living in a box before experiencing this trip. This trip opened my eyes to the world and took us all out of our comfort zone."

Brooke Peterson – MKTG 16: "This world is so different and so is every person on it. I believe this needs to be both respected, and explored."

Amanda Beaman – HNFE 16: "This trip has sparked a desire to learn more about other cultures, and I think every young student should aim to do the same."

Genevieve Lemley - Political Science 16: "The moment I realized that this trip had changed me was when my friends and family told me I looked happier and they could feel my passion in the way I spoke of my experiences."

Emily Sewell – HTM 16: "At first, I was very nervous to be in a new place with new people so far away from home. But once I got to Europe and began to experience the different cultures and people, I felt more at home. I matured on this trip and feel like I am better prepared to face the challenges of the world as I grow up."

Lexi Miller - COMM 15: "Before studying abroad I was only able to think of countries based on things I had seen on the news, TV, or even from people who have visited these regions first hand. I really value the aspect of getting to form my own opinion without the help of the outside world."

Matt Valentine - ECON 15: "Going abroad was the best experience of my life. I can already see a difference in my maturity level after our trip. Multiple family members made comments that I grew up a little bit while we were there."

Allison Hudson - HTM 14: "Going abroad was the best experience of my life. Not only did I learn so much about different cultures and customs, I also learned so much about myself."

Natalie Pagno - PSYCH 14: "As a result of this experience I have much higher respect and acceptance for cultures that are unlike my own."

Kayla Phillips - FIN 13: "This study abroad trip was the greatest learning experience for which I could have ever asked. I did not think it would give me the credits that I needed for my majors, and therefore, did not think it would be worth experiencing. However, now that I have returned home from an incredible month abroad, I recognize that it was truly a life-changing experience."

Audrey Ross - HTM 13: "The experience has changed my views on the different cultures. The trip really helped me be more open to new experiences"

Katie McDermott - MGMT 11: “This program encouraged me to look for different things to learn everyday and discover how many opportunities and discoveries the world has to offer. Both the variety of languages and the plethora of knowledge I gained from immersing myself in both small and large cities makes me feel like a more globally aware and confident student.”

Alie Reichling - Psych & Comm 11: “If I could put together my ideal European trip, it could not top this program.”

Stephen McGrady - HTM 11: ” Traveling around Europe using the sights and sounds as our classroom was the perfect way to better understand the world we live in.

Chelsea Hover – MKTG 11: ”This trip made me highly aware of my personal comfort zone and challenged me to step outside of it.”

Erin Meschter – BIT 10: “This is the one chance you can take a class that takes you to over 3 different countries. The program is what every Study Abroad should be. I learned lessons that can’t be taught in a classroom and gained the courage to travel further.”

Casey Watson- HTM 10: “This was the most eye-opening experience of my life. Never have I seen so many cites and travelled to so many countries in such a short amount of time. I wouldn’t trade one memory for the world.”

Alexandra Malecky – HTM 10: “This program is the experience of a lifetime. You will make great friends and learn about so many cultures on this trip.”

Lauren Pravlik – HTM & ACIS 09: “Made friends for life with people I probably otherwise never would have met that attend Tech.”

Claire Dickey – HNFE 09: “It’s an experience! I would have never been able to travel to as many countries and cities in this amount of time without this program.”

T.J. Bauer – ECON 09: “This program offers a lot to students that want to see multiple countries in Europe and have some freedom to do what you want. The professors are great…Best month of my life.”
