Business and Culture in the United Kingdom and Ireland

Travel dates: July 1, 2024 - July 29, 2024

Travel through the UK and Ireland on this fast-paced 28 day program focused on business in Europe. Visit a balance of cultural sites, historical landmarks, multinational corporations, and small startups to gain a better understanding of European business practices. Experience the culture firsthand while learning from experienced Virginia Tech faculty.

Students will visit Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, York, Manchester, Liverpool, Ironbridge Gorge, Birmingham, London, Bath, Cardiff, Dublin, Cork, Galway, Derry, and Belfast.

Undergraduate students will receive six credits for BIT 3954, and graduate students will receive six credits for BIT 5954. These credits count as elective credits and help to complete the requirements of Pamplin’s International Business Minor. Students seeking credit for a Pathways Core Concept need to first talk to their advisor and also be prepared to submit a Pathways credit request to the Office of General Education upon completion.
