Giving Day
The International Programs Office participated in Virginia Tech’s Annual Giving Day! Virginia Tech's Giving Day is a 24-hour event where Hokies from around the world come together to support their favorite university departments, programs, and teams, fostering a culture of philanthropy and community engagement in the spirit of the university's motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). The involvement in this fundraising event supports the efforts put forth by the International Programs Office and the Global Mentor Program to encourage student engagement through resources such as the mentoring program, academic wellness, and socio-cultural events held all throughout the year! This is the heart of the Global Mentor Program, so we are so grateful for everyone’s support during and after Giving Day.
Our mentors gathered to support the Global Mentor Program by offering students, faculty, and staff baked goodies, coffee, and tea. Those who were able to join us enjoyed a very international atmosphere while they enjoyed these treats and learned about the mission and importance of the Global Mentor Program here in Pamplin.
Resume/ Interview Workshop – Professional Mentor Club

The Director of the Professional Club, Rhea Rajeev, led our students and other mentors through a Resume Review and Interview Skills Workshop. As all our mentors are Pamplin students, the mentors of the Professional Club have such great professional experience to share! This interactive session helped international students learn how to create strong resumes and ace job interviews. Participants got hands-on practice and expert tips on how to communicate confidently and professionally. The workshop was a great opportunity for students to connect with each other and gain the skills they need to succeed in their careers. It was a fun and informative event that left everyone feeling more confident and prepared for their future!
Fitness Class

There’s no better way to de-stress from studying and schoolwork than moving your body in a group fitness class! The Global Mentor Program recently encouraged students to get moving with a high-energy cardio dance class hosted by VT Rec Sports. This lively session was a perfect blend of fun and fitness, bringing together international students and their peers for an unforgettable workout.
