From day one, a global Hokie journey
May 5, 2026
Next week, Nele will graduate from the Pamplin College of Business with a double major in entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management and management consulting and analytics.
What makes Nele’s Hokie journey distinctive is that it was a study abroad experience from day one. Having never been to the United States before arriving at Virginia Tech, she approached each experience — inside and outside the classroom — with curiosity and enthusiasm.
She repeated that experience abroad during a full semester in Singapore. Studying at Singapore Management University immersed her in Singaporean culture, took her across Southeast Asia, and helped her build friendships she expects to last a lifetime.
Nele brought that global perspective back to campus as a peer advisor with the Global Education Office, helping fellow Hokies imagine and plan their own journeys overseas.
After graduation, Nele plans to travel before beginning a job in Europe, with plans to pursue a master’s degree in the coming years.
The Global Education Office is proud to have had Nele as part of its peer advising team and looks forward to seeing where her global path leads next.
