Biography

Alessandra Rosetti was born and raised in Italy. She is from le Marche, where rolling hills, medieval hilltop towns and breathtaking beaches sit between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea.

She owns a master in Communication from the University of Macerata, worked as a language instructor at Dalhousie University, and acted as an event coordinator between Canada and America for the last 20 years.

After spending two decades between Nova Scotia and California, she finally moved to Blacksburg in 2019, where her husband Francesco started his position as Professor of Fisheries Management and Conservation at Virginia Tech.

She likes to spend time outdoors with her husband and embrace nature with her two daughters Martina and Beatrice.

Alessandra likes reading, hiking, gardening, socializing and going to the movies. However, cooking traditional Italian dishes for her family and friends is absolutely her favorite pastime.

Travelling is also her great passion, and besides Italy, Australia is one of her favorite countries in the world.
