Dr. Jennifer Clevenger

Biography
Dr. Clevenger is passionate about exploring the world. She has traveled to 48 states and 32 countries on all continents, except Antarctica. She enjoys archaeology, history, culture, and meeting new people. She has taken students on study abroad programs to Italy, England, France, Czech Republic, China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea and Japan over the last 20 years. She has been studying the Mandarin language for a few years and continues to work to acquire this language skill.
Dr. Clevenger was a professor in fashion design, fashion history, and textile science. She specialized in the confluence of political, economic, and social context demonstrated in Native America dress and ancient Highland dress.
She is truly a Hokie, since she received three degrees from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Clevenger is originally from Alaska but grew up moving around the country.
