Dr. Clevenger is passionate about exploring the world. She has traveled to 48 states, many different countries throughout the world. She enjoys the history, culture, and meeting new people.
She is truly a Hokie, since she received three degrees from Virginia Tech. Dr. Clevenger is originally from Eielson, Alaska but grew up moving around the country as an Air Force brat. Her husband and his family are all Virginia Tech alums, too. She is passionate about Hokie football.
Dr. Clevenger was a professor in fashion design, fashion history, and textile science for many years at Radford University. She specialized in Native America dress and ancient Highland dress. While there, she was also an advisor in her department and ran study abroad programs.
Dr. Clevenger enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and two daughters, Cheyenne and Eris. Most weekends they can be found at the movie theater, especially if a sci-fi movie is opening. Vacationing at theme parks (Disney, Universal, etc.) is a family past-time.
